fashionmodelguide.com was built because the modeling industry deserves better information than what’s out there. Too many guides are either superficial clickbait or thinly veiled marketing. We wanted to create something real.
How this site was built
Every article is the result of a collaborative effort. We brought together professionals with very different perspectives to create content that reflects what actually happens in the industry:
- Agency directors — for the strategic view: how agencies operate, how careers are built long-term
- Bookers — for the day-to-day reality of placements, client relationships, and seasonal market shifts
- Casting directors — to explain what truly makes a difference at castings, what brands are really looking for
- Professional photographers — for portfolio standards, art direction, and what works (and what doesn’t) in front of the camera
- Legal and administrative experts — to break down contracts, commissions, taxes, and model rights across markets
- Working models — many models, from newcomers to veterans, who shared their experiences, mistakes, and hard-earned advice
The result: over 20 in-depth articles, fact-checked, regularly updated, and written for people who are serious about this profession.
Our approach
No sponsored content. No paid rankings. When we mention an agency, it’s because it has a real reputation in the industry. When we cite a figure, it’s sourced. The goal is simple: help you make informed decisions about your career.
